How do I know it's safe?

You might ask ...

How do I know it's safe? The honest answer is that I don't know anything on the internet is 100% safe but here's how I ascertain that a program is not malware, spyware etc.:

I check whether the program is offered as a download on sites I trust like CNET and Softpedia.

I also search for the name of the program and words like "scam" "malware", "spyware", "beware" etc. and see if anything comes up.

Of course a good practice for all of us is to be vigilant and to use our common sense. Having said that I and you use any software discussed here at our own risk.
